I would like to make it easier for non-Kenai members to subscribe to my project mailing list. (I expect that nearly all subscribers will be non-members.) I read in the documentation that If you are not a member of Project Kenai or of the project whose list you want to subscribe to, you can subscribe only by sending email, since you won't see the Subscribe button on the project's mailing lists. After you send the subscribe email, your subscription request has to be approved by a project administrator. However, that was hard for me to find. If I navigate to "Mailing lists" or to one of the project mailing lists directly, I don't see anything which says how non-project members can sign up; by email or otherwise. I would prefer the ability for non-members to sign up on the web, from the mailing list overview site. Failing that, I would like to see listed instructions on those pages describing how to use the mailing list email interface to subscribe and unsubscribe. I could put that information there myself, but I see no way to edit the project's overview or the mailing list over pages to include that. I ended up putting it on my wiki then had a potential list member test it out, but he never came across my wiki comment and got stuck on the mailing list page looking for how he could subscribe.
