You have developed or used Java applications that sit on top of a MySQL database. The Challenge am facing is (developing) a tool that can generate formatted reports from the MySQL db table(s) from within the Java Applications I have developed. A user shl'd simply choose the db (tables) to aggregate in the report and then generate a report to a file on the hard disk. Expert programmers and java/mysql enthusiasts should come together and cast opinions on developing such a tool.
